Dental Implants

If you are missing a tooth or have a tooth that needs to be removed, the best treatment available is a dental implant. Traditionally, loose or bulky dentures and bridges were done as an alternative but now with the right planning and care, implants can easily be done to replace missing teeth naturally.

Here, we will guide you through this simple process.

The first step is to evaluate the bone and surrounding structures to determine if you are a good candidate for an implant. Measurements will be taken to determine if you are a good candidate.

A CT scan may be taken to obtain exact measurements of the bone. We will calculate the diameter, length and angulation necessary for the implant to be securely placed into the bone.

Once the planning process is complete, the surgery can begin. A small conservative incision (if needed) is made and titanium implants are placed into the bone. Stitches may or may not be needed depending on the case. The procedure is generally non-invasive and in most cases there is little to no pain or swelling the next day.

After 12-16 weeks, once the bone has completely healed around the implant, a final restoration will then be fabricated out of porcelain and life-like materials to ensure you have a natural looking, fully functional tooth.

You will once again be able to brush, floss, eat and smile normally!
